The May Art Walk is themed around everything Mom! Enjoy a full day of programming designed for moms, families, friends, and anyone looking to spend a memorable weekend in Wynwood. First launched in the mid-2000s as a grassroots effort by local galleries and artists, Wynwood Art Walk began as a way to spotlight the area’s emerging creative scene. What started with extended gallery hours and open studios quickly gained traction, drawing art lovers and curious locals to what was then a quiet warehouse district. Over time, as Wynwood evolved into a thriving hub for the arts, Art Walk became a driving force in the neighborhood’s transformation.
At its height, the event was a cornerstone of Miami’s rise as a global destination for contemporary art and culture. Street murals became city landmarks, food trucks gained cult followings, and the district’s unique energy spilled into every corner—from alleyways and sidewalks to showrooms and storefronts. Today, more than 400 businesses across Wynwood—including galleries, independent shops, breweries, and award-winning restaurants—contribute to the experience.
Whether you’re browsing new exhibitions, discovering pop-up vendors, enjoying a cold drink, or soaking in the dynamic atmosphere, Wynwood Art Walk offers something for everyone.
